On March 1, 2013, Universal celebrated its 49th year in business. In today’s economy, that is a big deal! The company has survived many challenges and difficulties over the years. We are happy to report that the busniess is thriving and growing. The company president, Mark Israel, thanked all employees for their part in the success of the company which has been family-owned and operated since its founding 1964.

Guy Rabens, P.E. Joins Universal’s Orlando Office
Guy Rabens, P.E. has been promoted.
We are pleased to announce that Guy Rabens, P.E. formerly branch manager of our Pensacola, Florida office, has returned home to Universal’s Orlando Office as manager of our geotechnical and environmental services groups. Guy worked in the geotechnical department of the Orlando office several years before being promoted to the Pensacola branch manager. Welcome back Guy!
Announcing Our New Assistant Construction Services Department Manager
Christiane Nelson, Assistant Dept. Manager
We are pleased to announce that Christiane Nelson was promoted to Universal’s Orlando Construction Services Department as assistant department manager of the Orlando construction testing and inspection services group. Christiane has been with Universal since 2005 when she entered our internship training program. She worked in the geotechnical and environmental departments before being hired to help manage the Construction Services Department as a project and contract manager. Congrats Christiane!
