Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc. (Universal) was founded in 1964 by Mr. Seymour Israel, who remains involved in the firm as the CEO. Mark Israel (Mr. Israel's son) became President in 2001. Operating under this same ownership since its formation, Universal is one of the oldest and most prestigious professional engineering firms in Florida. With a commitment to rapid response, technical accuracy and on-time reporting, Universal has an earned reputation based on service and is an asset to any project.

Universal is a large (over 675 employees) heavily experienced consulting firm specializing in Environmental Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering & Consulting, Geophysical Services, Construction Materials Testing, Threshold Inspection Services, Private Provider Inspection, Building Inspection and Plan Review. Because of its size and diverse staffing capabilities, Universal provides all of these services (including drilling) in-house.

Although Universal operates almost exclusively in the southeastern United States, it has been listed consecutively each year since 1985 as an Engineering News-Record National Top 500 Design Firm.
